Adapting to Need: Community Food Distribution During Typhoon Crising
Published on August 7, 2025
On July 24, 2025, operations for the daily feeding program at Ilugin Elementary School were adjusted in response to Typhoon Crising. With classes suspended due to the inclement weather, the prepared meals were redirected to ensure the local community was supported during the storm.
The decision was made to distribute the food to prevent waste and provide assistance to families in the area. The meals, which included a main dish, vegetables, and fruit, were packed and handed out to residents who came to the school seeking shelter and support.

This initiative demonstrates our commitment to not only our student beneficiaries but to the entire Ilugin community. It highlights the program's ability to adapt to urgent needs and provide support where it is most required.

We are grateful for the resilience of the community and the dedication of our volunteers who ensured that no food went to waste and that our neighbors were cared for during a challenging time.
